Problem
Evolution involves four basic processes (mutation, migration, genetic drift, natural selection) that has resulted in the variation that exists among organisms in the natural world. While we often focus on one of the processes (natural selection), each one may play an important role in the evolution of a particular group of organisms.
For each of the four processes, explain for a population of a plant species that you know something about:
a) The sort of circumstances that must be present for the process to occur, and
b) The likely results of its occurrence.
