Design two digital position measurement systems using a slide potentiometer as the transducer. Select the range of the scale to match the linear range of your transducer. The position measurements will be displayed as fixed-point numbers on an LCD. The first system will use the ADC, and the second system will use an astable multivibrator (LM555) and input capture. Design your systems with the best possible resolution. Experimentally verify the noise level, time-constant, and accuracy of both systems.
