Paper instructions:
Look at the operations of a hotel in general, and identify what would be considered an expense and what would be considered revenue. Research a specific hotel of your choice. Provide a brief overview of the various operations the hotel is involved in.
Identify 3 key revenue ad state which profit centre would be financially reported under.
Identify 7 key expenses and state which cost or profit centre they would be financially reported in. you must attach evidence from the information source to show how you identified these revenues and expenses.
With reference to the above research, discuss the importance of managers understanding the different revenues and costs associated with their divisions/departments. make some recommendations; using examples, how department managers can control some of the above mentioned revenue and expenses.
