Problem: Ms. P had ventricular tachycardia and she underwent cardioversion. Ms. P was converted to a normal sinus rhythm.
The patient no longer has signs of poor cardiac output. She is alert and oriented; her BP is 120/68 and Resp 20.
Two months later, Ms. P returns for her follow up visit to the cardiologist. Her rhythm strip shows the same rhythm as noted in 24-1. Her vital signs are stable at 118/70, Resp 20, Pulse 62. Based on the rhythm strip indicating normal sinus rhythm as well as her vital signs and assessment at her follow up visit, expected treatment of Ms. P would include:
A. Continue to monitor for patient tolerance.
B. Educate the patient regarding potential pacemaker placement.
C. Educate the patient about cardioversion.
D. All of the above.
