In 2020, a significant milestone in corporate team leadership that included staff and process shortages impacted organizations worldwide due to the management of resources during the COVID-19 pandemic (Kalra et al., 2021). The COVID-19 pandemic (World Health Organization 2020a, 2020b, 2020c) brought a particular set of challenges to light due to the change process resulting from the COVID-19 viral outbreak (Halal et al., 2022). A manager's role is to guide and direct employees in an organization (Halal et al., 2022). This requires managers to have access for more strategy and process preparation (Halal et al., 2022). Post-pandemic, managers have inherited the additional requirement of developing . A significant change in the Information Technology workplace was initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in challenges for managers of in-person and remote teams (Babcock, 2022). Although several years have passed since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, pandemic workplace symptoms still linger (Babcock, 2022). Much of the workforce is still working in a remote capacity (Babcock, 2022), prompting management to continue an adjustment of management style and processes. Strategic management teams need tools to effectively manage teams and be a catalyst for change (Halal et al., 2022).
Organizational management roles are an integral component of motivating change in organizations (Coruzzi, 2020). The transformation of an organization is dependent on strong management teams who will effectively manage employee needs (Coruzzi, 2020). Catalysts for change include strong managers who can identify the gap in the process for a current environment (Coruzzi, 2020). In order to determine managerial process gaps, a thorough understanding of the current management process is necessary. When management teams effectively monitor team change management processes, areas needed for change improvement can be determined. Management teams with transparent processes exhibit the skill of effective stakeholder management while embracing the valuable feedback they may provide (Coruzzi, 2020).
