Examine the role of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Determine how each system can play a critical role in managing value chains.

ERP system combines each department's information into a single, integrated system with a common database so that departments can easily share information and communicate with each other. CRP is interaction that a company has with its customer, whether it is sales or service-related. The most critical role in managing value chains is that ERP and CRM both want to deliver excellent and timely customer service.

Provide an example from an industry where analytics is used today either through ERP or through CRM, and determine the ways this technology has helped to deliver quality to the customer.

Chobani Yogurt Company uses CRM to manage the relationship whether it business-to-business, business to consumer, or business to employee. When it comes to the consumers they have an unparelleled connection and tremendous success for three year without ever running and advertising campaign. It was because their where immensely connected with their consumers all along.

There are many challenges that companies can face when trying to implement theses type of technologies. I think information overload and protecting the employee's and customer's privacy and security is a major challenges, Especially when customer used their credit card and employee direct deposit information are in the system for long period of time. Companies have to get a secure and updated system where the company system cannot be hacked.
