An imperfect loop typically slips more cycles than a perfect loop and therefore takes longer to achieve phase lock.
Examine the impact of the pole offset by executing the program assuming a perfect loop (λ = 0).
Except for the pole offset use the same parameters as given in (6.40). How many cycles are slipped by the perfect loop? By how much is the lock time reduced?
