Homework: Consumer Decision-Making Patterns
Address the following with reflection and integration of your reading of Chapter 8 which deals largely with attitudes and their impact and influence on consumer decisions:
1) Explain the 5 stages of the decision-making process and the degree to which consumers go through each of the 5-stages.
2) Support your explanation with an example of a recent purchase, walking through the process and steps you took.
3) In addition, discuss how a consumer's attitude and his/her differences in commitment explain the "why" of his/her buying decision and yours.
4) Finally, as discussed in Chapter 8, examine the impact of the internet and social media on your buying decisions, providing detailed thought and examples.
