Examine the impact of straight cathing vs. immediate foley

Problem: This qualitative study examines the impact of straight cathing vs. immediate foley placement on CAUTI rates within six months in patients with urinary retention. The study aims to create evidence-based practice on when to use foley catheters and when not to decrease CAUTI rates. Data will be collected from patients with urinary retention, and the findings suggest that straight catheterization is the best practice for reducing CAUTI rates. A q6h bladder scan with straight cath is recommended for patients with urine amounts over 300cc. Need Assignment Help?
