Problem: When evaluating the process flow chart, the steps I believe do not add value to the process flow chart based on the principles of lean manufacturing would first be, Leaves are removed from trays and reweighed; poor-quality leaves are thrown away. I believe this step can be completed while the leaves are visually inspected, the step prior. As they are inspected, poor-quality ones are tossed.
