In the City of San Diego Climate Action Plan (pages 23 & 25), five local strategies to reduce emissions are outlined. In this essay you will choose one of those local strategies and do three things:
(1) describe what global and sustainability issue(s) other than emission reduction that your chosen strategy addresses and how it does this,
(2) find and describe an example of how San Diego has begun to address your chosen strategy, and
(3) evaluate the progress of the city of San Diego in implementing your chosen strategy.
Parts 1 and 3 should largely be supported with course readings, while part 2 should be supported using sources outside the course such as newspaper articles, websites, etc.
