Create a Word doc and title it Strategic Management Research Journal. (Again, be sure to download and follow the template that I provided for you in your welcome message. Use a Title page and a References page with at least three references. Write a 525 to 700 words response to the following prompts in your journal entry:
i. Identify Caterpillar Inc.'s "SMART" short-term and long-term goals.
ii. Evaluate how mergers and acquisitions in the last 3-5 years have contributed to Caterpillar Inc.'s performance and affected its organizational goals.
iii. Determine the most critical merger or acquisition that has contributed to Caterpillar's performance and success in achieving organizational goals. Defend your choice.
iv. Evaluate the effectiveness of Caterpillar's operational plan for global strategies (international, multi-domestic, global-standardization, or transnational). Include supporting research or data.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
