Question 1. Evaluate the arguments by Stossel and Rodgers.  Is the evidence credible?  How do you know?  How does the evidence support the claims?  How did your opinion form or change after reading both sides of this issue? 

Question 2. How do Stossel and Rodgers use language to support their claims?  How does the use of language affect the way you evaluate their arguments?

Question 3. Identify at least two logical fallacies in one or both of the arguments, and explain your choices. If you can find no logical fallacies, make a convincing argument for why that is.

Question 4. What are the ethical issues presented by each argument?  How do ethics and values affect the way you evaluate each argument?

Question 5. Consider the cultural backgrounds of the writers and the communities they are reporting on.  How might their worldviews have been formed?  How do their worldviews differ from one another?  Do you recognize any way in which cultural bias (ethno-, socio-, or egocentricity) might affect their opinions and/or the validity of their arguments?

Question 6. Do you feel that this course has helped you develop more effective critical thinking skills?  Why or why not?  If so, describe at least one way you will use or already have used something you have learned in this class to help you in another class, at work, or in your personal life.

Question 7. Finally, apply your critical thinking skills to this course.  What worked?  What did not?  What would you suggest to make it better?
