Course Description: In this course, students will gain an overview on how to achieve high quality on a project while minimizing risk. Students will develop an understanding of what constitutes good quality in the context of projects. Students will explore project requirements, how to manage customer expectations and satisfaction, and how to ensure that the product meets the specifications, solves the problem, and satisfies the customer. Students will learn how to identify, assess, prioritize, analyze, reduce and control risks, and will develop a risk management plan.
Course Objectives:
• To apply appropriate techniques in assessing risk associated with a specific project
• To evaluate project quality with accepted standards
• To ensure project success through mitigation of risk and specification of quality standards
