Problem: Evaluate inventory savings associated with a US-made generic European product that would be assembled-to-order in the European distribution center. (Hint: see the "Bill of Materials" exhibits in case. Under this option, a generic printer is one without power supply and manuals and is produced in Vancouver and shipped to Euro DC using ocean transportation. Once the Euro DC gets a customer order, it "assemles" the full print by inserting the power supply module and the manuals. This has been called "localization" in p.5 of the case.
