Problem
The hotel has been using the same cleaning products for many years, it is a reputable company and the products are used by most luxury hotels in the industry. Thought the product is very effective, it is not environmentally friendly, as part of a new sustainability initiative, Head Office has opted to move to a greener product new to the market, though higher in cost it is hoped that this will appeal to the sustainable traveller and align with the hotel corporate social responsibility initiatives. However, the product has now been used by the housekeeping team for a few weeks, and complaints are coming in from the room attendants, that the product isn't as effective and is causing increased cleaning time in each guestroom.
