Assume you do not believe in racial/ethnic disparities within the criminal justice system. Also, assume that you do recognize the need for criminal justice reform. What are some reasons not to believe racial/ethnic disparities exist? What are some other explanations for the gaps in crime rates between Whites and Non-Whites? If it is not about race/ethnicity, what are the changes we need to make in the criminal justice system? Where would you start?
