Assignment Task: How would a researcher "estimate people who are suffering from mental illness"? An interesting study by Kim et al.s (2020), suggests that information can be investigated on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter to detect mental health states of the users. I can see people sharing on these sites, unknowingly revealing information more than a questionnaire. The study mentioned that people with mental illnesses have difficulties sharing information in person or accessing clinics (Kim et al., 2020). What do you think about collecting information the way this study suggests? Do you think it would be an invasion of privacy?
