Problem:
The 'setting' of a story can enhance its meaning by establishing the tone and mood for readers as well as providing important details about the characters' environments. Some stories we read this semester depict detailed and elaborate settings while others are less detailed, such as in Thammavongsa's story. For this discussion board, please tell us how important the 'setting' in a story is for you? Then, consider all the stories we have read in this course to this point -- which one do you think was most effective in helping you visualize the details of the story or the characters' environments and why?
