Problem: Environmental sanitation is the practice of establishing and maintaining healthy and hygienic conditions in the environment. The mis management of waste water or solid waste can result in epidemics of a waterborne disease illnesses and diseases transmitted through chemical or fecal contamination of drinking water. Environmental sanitation also includes protecting communities from unsafe food improper handling, storage and service of food can result in outbreaks of food borne diseases. Likewise the overflow of waste water into open fields in ditches or miss management of solid waste near human habitation can result in outbreaks of vector borne diseases, diseases transmitted by insects. After reading your assigned chapters and watching the videos in blackboard, in your own words please describe how the government can improve our food safety and our food safety systems, this can include increasing inspections reducing the amount of food that comes from foreign countries etc. Please reference and cite relevant information.
