Establishing a brand new 1,000-cow dairy

Assignment task: You have just won the lottery, and instead of doing something safe with your money, you are tempted to gamble it away as a dairy farmer (hey, we all have our vices). You have many choices for where you may establish a brand new 1,000-cow dairy that has every bell and whistle that you want. Fortunately, your top notch dairy realtor, Dr. Brown, has found 4 properties that he thinks will be just absolutely perfect. Use your knowledge of where dairy farms/cows are located and the necessary infrastructure needed to help maintain a dairy, and choose the best tract of land for you. Don't forget to keep in mind milk prices for your given region. (Is anybody else getting some clues that we should review Lecture 1 for this question??? Telling me that cows will be eaten by bears in the North Carolina property is, well, not something we have focused on... and might result in 0 accumulated points for this question.) Explain the positive and negative drawbacks to each tract of land, why you chose to locate your dairy where you did, and why the other tracts of land are unacceptable. Bertie County, North Carolina Paxton, Nebraska Polk County, Iowa Wickenburg, Arizona
