The Stojkovic text (part two) focuses on concepts of motivation, communication, job design and evaluation as they apply to the criminal justice arena. For example, communication, motivation, and job design are examined extensively in relation to police and corrections. How do these basic human relations concepts and theories apply to criminal justice organizations, and organizations in general?

As Stojkovic notes, these concepts are crucial to the survival of a healthy organization. Similarly, they are vital for the design of planned change function. In simplest terms, the human relations can make or break a program or policy. As we learned in Module 1, the informal structure of an organization is extremely influential. The ability to motivate and communicate within both the formal and informal arenas is arguably one of the most important functions of leadership. Welsh and Harris describe the design process of a program or policy and one of the elements of design is to define the target population of the policy or program.

This should sound familiar, in that it is much like identifying stakeholders. Must be in this line of perspective

This short essay is for a Criminal Justice Management and Policy course and you must tie in management and policy into homeland security.
