In the year 2012, the U.S produced over 250 million tons of garbage. One component of this waste consisted of oil based plastic bags, which are used excessively by grocers, restaurants and stores countrywide. In order to decrease this source of waste, most of the countries are banning plastic bags or taxing customers for their uses.
