Creating the Case Analysis Report
Once you have the results of your Case Analysis you are ready to prepare the written report. It is important that your report include both qualitative and quantitative evidence to support your recommendations. Depending on the requirements of your specific assignment, the format of your report may vary. Following are the general components of a written Case Analysis report:
1. Title page:
• Your Name
• Title of case
2. Table of contents
3. Introduction (this is not a summary; briefly describe the purpose and sections)
4. Environmental Analysis (as applicable)
• General environment (economic, political, social, etc.)
• Operating environment (competitors, suppliers, customers, etc.)
• Internal environment (organization's finance, marketing, personnel, etc.)
5. Problem definition
• Problem 1 and evidence
• Problem 2 and evidence (if applicable)
• Problem 3 and evidence (if applicable)
6. Alternative solutions
• Strengths and Weaknesses of each solution
7. Recommended solution
• Description of solution
• Justification for alternative chosen
• Implementation specifics
8. Summary of analysis
9. References
