Just having a policy is insufficient. It must be followed, widely disseminated throughout the organization, and employees should be trained. Employee training increases awareness, shows employees the company is serious about business ethics, and will help employees make the right decision when faced with an ethical dilemma (Lawrence& Weber, 2011).
