The topic is Animal Experimentation. It should be persuasively written. For the record, I am against all animal experimentation. It should not be insulting to other viewpoints, but counter every reason that someone who does believe in animal experimentation could use. It must be MLA format, 3-5 pages, with in text citations, and a works cited page. It should also have 3-4 sources cited.

Grading Criteria:
State an original thesis statement in the opening paragraph. The thesis should state your argument and thus your opinion should be evident to the reader.
Include ideas you intend to develop in your essay in the opening paragraph.
Develop each of these stated ideas in a separate paragraph. Remember each paragraph needs a clear topic sentence that relates directly back to the thesis statement.
Effectiveness of the overall argument. Does the essay present an effective argument? Address the counterarguments? Use logical and relevant examples?
Tone: The tone of the essay should be as "reasonable, trustworthy, and sincere." Don't attack - persuade.
Concluding paragraph should restate or sum up your argument effectively.
Present reasonable evidence to support your argument. Refer to the outside sources to build your credibility. When using a direct quote
or a paraphrased source, use MLA format. Use at least 3-4 sources and in-text citations. Include a Works Cited page.
This essay should be 3-5 pages in length, double-spaced, 12 pt font Times New Roman. If you have more or less than, points will be taken off.
Check your punctuation, grammar, etc. Use spell check and read over your work to alleviate any simple errors!
Use a proper MLA heading on your essay!
