Task:
Practice graphing the results of the experiment on the effect of amount and frequency of exercise on depression. In the actual experiment, there was a main effect of amount of exercise: Participants in the high exercise (17.5 kcal) condition had lower depression scores after 12 weeks than the participants in the low exercise (7.0 kcal) condition.
There was no main effect of amount of exercise: It did not matter whether exercise was scheduled for 3 or 5 times . There was no interaction effect. For this activity, higher scores on the depression measure indicate greater depression. Scores on this measure can range from 0 to 16.
