Economic attitudes of Spaniards. Spain's Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicos carried out a sample survey on the economic attitudes of Spaniards.27 Of the 2496 adults interviewed, 72% agreed with the statement "Employees with higher performance must get higher pay." On the other hand, 71% agreed with the statement "Everything a society produces should be distributed among its members as equally as possible and there should be no major differences." Use these conflicting results as an example in a short explanation of why opinion polls often fail to reveal public attitudes clearly.
