Eating Animals:
The opening section of Eating Animals is titled “Storytelling.” Foer asserts,“We are not only the tellers of our stories, we are the stories themselves.” He uses Eating Animals to tell the stories of farm animals. In Brother, I’m Dying, author Edwidge Danticat also values the importance of storytelling, both in the large arc of her memoir and also in the distinct stories told by the old women. Using examples from the works you have read by these two authors, consider how these two authors use stories to tell us, humans, who we are.
