Duties of an Advocate
- First is, Duty to the Court
Whether as an officer of court an advocate is bound to assist in administration of the justice. Thus he must advice evidence that the law correctly each time he appears before the court there.
Whether he is bound to urge his clients' case in the best manner possible. So further he owes a legal duty to the client and is liable of care in damages for professional negligence.
Whether he is bound to maintain the highest possible standard of integrity and conduct by obedience to ethics and the law of the profession.
Whether as a member of the society he is bound to take part there in its political and social and economic development or growth.
