During the late 15th and 16th centuries politics motivated Spanish exploration and expansion. My problem is that I can't really find (or really know where to look) for these particular 'politics.' Obviously economics influenced the desire for expansion and a new trade route to the 'far east,' but I need to only use political motivations. I also need to avoid writing about how expansion and exploration influenced the interal politics of Spain.
