Assignment task:
1. Drawing on Tolman's "Doing Desire" and Tolman et al's "Getting Close, Staying Cool" what are similarities and differences between the way adolsecent boy and girls feel about their sexuality and enacting upon their desires? (make sure to draw from readings) How is it related to doing gender and gendered expectations? Do you think these are good research studies and that the teens are truthful? AND 2. Armstrong, Hamilton and England title their article reviewing contermporary sexual relations among youth/young adults with a question "Is Hooking Up Bad For Women?" What do they say the research shows when answering this? And were you surprised by any of the findings/trends they discuss in this review?
