The SI symbol shown in Fig. 15-10 is used on metric drawings that conform to the SI system and use what is called third-angle projection. This projection system, which places the top view of a multi view drawing above the front view, is the normal way of showing views in the United States. Draw the symbol, including the outlines of the letters S and I; then use the SOLID command to fill in the letters.
