The College of Business has hired you as a student intern to advise us on improving student performance in the classroom. Write a memo describing your “job” as a student in terms of the job performance dimensions discussed in this chapter (e.g., routine, adaptive and creative task performance; interpersonal and organizational citizenship behaviors; and counter-productive behaviors). Be sure to explain the benefit of approaching student performance from a behavior perspective rather than from an outcome (grades) perspective? What would the downsides of this approach be? Don’t forget to describe how grading policies in your classes have to change to accommodate a behavior approach to student performance.
