Domicile of Dependence
Moreover this is the domicile a person acquires by virtue of legal dependency. Hence it is determined through the domicile of the other person.
However the common law rule that a married woman acquires, that on marriage, her husband's domicol known as the domicol of dependence is codified through Section 7 of the Act. Conversely the common law rule such a married woman cannot acquire an independent domicol of choices is modified through S.8 (3) of the Act that provides that 'an adult married woman shall not, through reason of being married, for be incapable of acquiring an independent domicile of choice'. Conversely this means such a married woman that who is an adult can acquire a domicile of choice separate from that of her husband, whether a married woman that who is an infant as i.e. one who is not yet eighteen years old or cannot do so.
