Part 1: Using the Sarasota CAFR, research answers to each question presented in parts "a" through "c" of problem 1-1 starting on page 15 of your textbook. Your submission must present the question followed by your solution in the same outline format presented in problem 1-1, except you should create bullet points for the individual questions that problem 1-1 presents in paragraph form. For example, "a. Introductory Section" has approximately 8 items presented for your review. You should have a bullet point identifying the question/issue followed by your response to each item listed in your "a. Introductory Section" area.
a. Introduction Section.
· Does this material define the governmental reporting entity and name the primary government and all related component units included in the report?
Your response (including CAFR page number)
· Does the introductory section . . . (etc.)
Part 2: Using the same approach as for part 1, complete problem 2-1 on page 59 of your textbook.
Part 3:
A. Refer to part "d" of problem 9-1 on page 404 of your textbook. Respond to items 1 through 4 in the same manner as above.
B. Prepare a brief report (e.g., executive summary) of no more than two double-spaced pages addressing the issue of whether the CAFR meets/fails to meet the needs of users in items 1-4 (your Part 3A, above). This report will be scored for thoughtful content, clarity and conciseness of discussion, and form (i.e., spelling, grammar, etc.). Sloppy, haphazard submissions will receive a zero! Present yourself as a professional, or at least a graduate student.
