Does the use of an artificial heart make someone less human

Problem: My initial thought of the Artificial hearts video is that it is great to see the technological advancement required to develop this kind of treatment. The use of an artificial heart can mean a lifesaving intervention for someone in need and seems like a very worthy advancement in healthcare. Does the use of an artificial heart make someone less human? No, not at all. However, quality of life should be considered in my opinion. The video highlights a relatively limited battery life of five to six hours and an overall longevity of an artificial heart of five years (230 million heartbeats). This leads to the question of what does quality of life look like for these users? It appears for now that the use of an artificial heart is a temporary measure used for those awaiting heart transplants. From a religious perspective, my take is that an artificial heart honors God since it is using his design just like many other medical advancements like organ transplants, insulin use, etc.-react, comment, include reference (APA style) Looking for Online Tutoring?
