Does a defendants refusal to testify indicate guilt

Problem

Under the 5th Amendment, a person (defendant) on criminal trial does not have to testify. In your opinion, does a defendant's refusal to testify indicate guilt? Wouldn't an innocent person have nothing to hide and therefore, should testify to clear his or her name?
