Problem
At the begging of the chapter, we are introduced to Ludwig, who is just a brain in a vat. His entire reality is being controlled by a scientist causing the disembodied brain to experience an artificial reality. Descartes also has us imagine that there is an evil demon who is tricking us into thinking that there is an external world, when in reality there is not.
If we could never know if we are brains in a vat, does that bother you? Do you think we would ever know if we are a brain in a vat, being tricked by an evil demon, or are trapped in some computer simulation? Why or why not? Justify your answer
