Are any of you shareholders or do you know anyone who is a shareholder / stakeholder in a REIT? Would you invest in a REIT (if you had money to burn of course)? Why or why not? Do you think General Managers who are working for a management company (such as Marriott and etc.), might need to approach justifying capital expenditures differently if the hotel is owned by a REIT than they would when dealing with a corporate owned property (such as money for renovations)? Why or why not?
