Problem
Socrates ultimately decides that justice arises in the city when its three classes (the craftsmen, the auxiliaries or warriors, and the guardians or rulers) perform their proper function. Injustice, by contrast, arises when the classes meddle and get mixed with one another. Explain why this meddling and exchanging between the classes leads to injustice. If we are seeking justice, what are the implications of this for those who are born craftsman and not guardians? Do you agree with Socrates's account of justice? Why or why not?
