Problem
In a post-covid world, many employees are now enjoying the benefits of working from home; convenience, efficiency and cost saving. Manages are coming up with unique ways to monitor their employees output to ensure productivity is achieved. One such strategy that managers are adopting is key-stroke monitoring - a software the remotely monitors employees productivity and sends a report to the manager detailing how 'active' the employee has been during the working day. A similar monitoring software takes screenshots of employee's computer at regular intervals as well as tracking websites they visit during company hours.
Do you think it's ethical for an organization to monitor their employees with such software? Do you agree, monitoring emails and phone calls is good for productivity and employee morale?
