Assignment:
A1: Research and develop a Focus Paper that is designed as a Research Paper on a Focused Topic Area.
The Constitution of the United States provides protection for the citizenry of the United States. For those in the criminal justice system we recognize the need to treat the citizenry with the utmost of these protections. However, for social administration of justice, we must view the topic from the lens of the criminal justice employee and administrator. Discuss the comparison and contrast of these rights as compared against those enjoyed by the citizenry.
Please choose ONE of the Topic areas to research and write your paper on:
Topic 1: Do those who serve in criminal justice administrative and operational roles POSSESS more, equal, or fewer social justice rights than the general population they serve or
Topic 2: Do those who serve in criminal justice administrative and operational roles EXERCISE more, equal, or fewer social justice rights than the general population they serve. This must be submitted as a Word document. (Please see the syllabus for instructions and requirements for the focus paper).
• Focus Papers
Focus papers should contain 1250 to 1500 words. excluding references, cover page, and appendices. They must include a minimum of 5 schohrly references/sources and be written in A PA 7th edkion format. Students must do one of each of the following methodobgies for individual papers it the foDowitg order.
1. Research paper on a focused topic area
2. Case study on a single incident cc event
Focus papers should use the following cosines:
1. Research paper on a focused topic area
a. Introduction - what is the theory a thesis and what is the inportance of this topic?
b. Review of the reknit literature of the topic (most relevant and recent)
c. Based upon the secondary research, what are the reknit issues and what is/are the logical evidence-based conclusions you can draw?
d. Any reconniendations fcc change?
1. Case study on a single incident a event - Select a specific case study and include:
a. Introduction - what is the paper about and what is the case important to review?
b. Relevant facts of the case.
