For this assignment, you will draft a working thesis for essay. Be sure to include both a claim and reasoning. Also make sure that you are taking a clear position on the issue.

Brent Staples - "What Adolescents Miss When We Let Them Grow Up in Cyberspace"
Robert W. Lucky - "To Twitter or Not to Twitter"
Dave Taylor "Does Social Networking really Connect You to Humanity?"
Topic: The essays for this section examine the ways social networking sites can both create and limit social interaction. Write an essay where you answer the following question:
Do social networking sites bring people together, or do they keep people apart?
Be sure to support your thesis with reference to at least one of the assigned essays from this section.
Essay Guidelines:
1. Essays must at least 3 pages typed, double spaced, and with 1 inch margins.
2. Use proper MLA formatting.
3. Make sure to include in-text citations where appropriate and a works cited page. The works cited page does not count for the 3 page requirement.
4. Do not use 2nd person pronouns. For each use of 2nd person.
5. Avoid use of 1st person pronouns (I, we, me, us, my, our) unless you provide a personal example as evidence.
