Along with the PEW studies and any other sources you might find on your own, discuss the concept of "Digital Democracy." Is the Internet democratizing American politics? Do political Web sites and blogs mobilize inactive citizens and make the public sphere more inclusive? Can policy makers improve decision making by harnessing networks to public institutions? Conversely, will our reliance on technology for communication/information simply lead to the accentuation of a focus on the individual and to his/her compartmentalization.
There's a lot to consider, but don't write an essay. With your readings as a guide, simply share some of your own ideas, interpretations, and ideas...and keep it short.
