Do Humans have vapor spaces?
In Lecture 11.2, Vapor Space is defined as an "active space of an insect trail." Ants leave trail pheromones in these vapor spaces and depending on the concentration of the pheromones, it may convey an aggressive alarm (high concentration) or an attractant meant to recruit nestmates (low concentrations). Nestmates utilize their antennae to sense these trails and follow a kind of wiggling path along the trail of pheromones.
With humans, do we have a form of vapor spaces or trail pheromones? Although volatile, meaning the pheromone is likely to dispel soon, could body odor be considered an attractant pheromone?
