Purpose: Performs professional human resource work in the area of employee recruitment and selection, testing, orientation, transfers, and maintenance of employee human resources files. May handles special assignments and projects related to EEO/affirmative action, employee grievances, training or classification and compensation. Works under general supervision. Incumbent exercise initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Task, duties and responsibilities
1. Prepare recruitment literature and job advertisement
2. Schedules and conducts personal interviews to determine application suitability for employment. Includes reviewing applications and resume mailed and submitted electronically. Supervises the administration of the applicant testing program. Responsible for developing or improving testing instruments and procedures.
3. Presents orientation program to all new employees. Reviews and develops all materials and procedures for the orientation program.
4. Coordinate the division job posting and transfer program. Establish job posting procedures. Responsible for reviewing transfer application, arranging transfer interview and determining effective transfer dates.
5. Maintains a daily working relationship with division managers on human resource matters, including recruitment concerns, retention or release of probationary employees and discipline or discharge of permanent employees.
6. Distributive new or revised human resource policies and procedures to all employees and managers through e-mail the company's intranet, meeting, memorandums or personal contact.
7. Performs related duties as assignment by the human resource manager.
Job specification
1. Four year college or university degree with major course work in human resources management, business administration, or industrial psychology, or a combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a four year college degree in human resource management.
2. 2. Detailed knowledge of the principles of employee selection and assignment of personnel.
3. Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communication.
4. Ability to independently plan an organize one's own activates.
5. Knowledge of HRIS application desirable.
