Read Chapters 1 & 2 of Adult Development and Aging.
For this assignment you are required to interview one person age 65 or older. To preserve the privacy and confidentiality of the person you are interviewing, please disguise all identifying information.
Your assignment must include the following information, integrating the reading assignments to support your own thoughts about the interviewee's responses:
1. Significance of early childhood or upbringing.
2. Major life events: marriage, birth of children, retirement, deaths of significant others. Are these temporally and statistically normative?
3. Age-related changes in physical, cognitive and creative activities.
4. Greatest pleasures of this period in life.
5. Views of latter stages of life, death and dying
6. Plans for long-term care if and when need
7. Wisdom to be shared with interviewer.
