Find a total of 4 visual representations; one for Islam and one for Christianity that are NOT in the text, and compare them with each other and with two works from each of the chapters this week. So in all, one Christian and one Islamic work from the text, and one Christian and one Islamic work that you find from web research.
Make sure that you can list who the images are by, artist, medium, date and location, and then write a careful stylistic/cultural comparison between images, making several STYLISTIC points of comparison. What do the stylisitc differences suggest about the cultures and eras in which they were created?
It is important to understand the classical stylistic influences, as opposed to those that are not classical. Distinguish between the classical influences in these designs and those that are decidedly not classical in origin.
IMPORTANT
Write your comparison in a WORD document, cut and paste your images into this document, and include the captions/references of artist, date, and medium. If you don't know who where and when, you can't use it.
