Dissect the idea of the educational system in america

Problem: The essay must be 2 in-depth paragraphs with quotes from the stories or poems to explain your answers. (Try not to use the ones I put in the test myself). This answer must speak to the specifics of the story and NOT be general, vague, or too broad.

Many of these stories, poems, songs and other dissect the idea of the Educational System in America (think about Wideman's short story "Brothers & Keepers" and Ann Petry's "The Street" and the poets Sonia Sanchez, Gil Scott-Heron and Joshua Bennett also deconstruct "Education" and/or Educational "knowledge") ; specifically, that system that "educates" African Americans (and by extension, other races, genders, National identities, Religions and so much more) and "prepares" them for the "real" world. Often, the above writers criticize these educational systems deeply; in fact, many posit that their children do get educated but NOT IN SCHOOLS. Dissect this idea of education in the African American community and the questions being asked by the specific writers above. Do they suggest any ways to change how education is taught? Do they have a larger message to share with you all about how YOU need to think about your education? (Only the names mentioned above can be used).
